What is happening?

1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

a) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations:

Amberley Grove, Croydon

Partially outside Nos. 18 & 19

Kemeroton Road, Croydon

Partially outside Nos. 47 and 49 (replaces a length of double yellow lines) Opposite a shared driveway

Kemeroton Road, Croydon

Outside No. 45 and partly outside No. 47 (replacing the existing bay outside No. 45 by two metres north-eastwards to abut the new bay above. Replaces a length of double yellow lines)

Warminster Road, South Norwood

Adjacent to the vehicular entrance to Warminster Gardens

b) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as exist on site.

  1. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 28 July 2025, and of associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

  2. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No.104) Order 2025 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-for Parking Places) (No.104) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 21 July 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under sections 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and of all other enabling powers:

1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

a) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations:

Stanford Road, Norbury

Outside No. 104 and partially across the frontage of No. 102 (partial footway bay)

Winterbourne Road, Thornton Heath

Outside Nos. 81 / 83

b) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as exist on site.

  1. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and of associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made, or in the case was being, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design) at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

  2. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Parking Design Team (email above) or in writing to Parking Design, Sustainable Communities, 7th Floor, Zone B, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above) quoting the reference: PD/CH/SCH244 by 14 August 2025.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers:

1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 54 Aldrich Crescent, Croydon, No. 7 Cederscroft Hill, Purley, No. 258 Davidson Road, Croydon, No. 24 Kitchener Road, Thornton Heath, No. 72 Langdale Road, Thornton Heath, No. 62 Lansdowne Road, Purley, and No. 31 Woodside Avenue, South Norwood.

b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

BRICKFIELD ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water main leakage surveys by Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Brickfield Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Brickfield Road will be closed from its junction with Georgia Road (adjacent to No. 36a Georgia Road) to a point 35 metres south-east of that junction.

  3. During the closure traffic will be diverted via Georgia Road, Springfield Road, Carolina Road and vice versa.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 25 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle being used in the said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  6. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

WHYTECLIFFE ROAD SOUTH & HIGH STREET, PURLEY

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Telecoms ducting works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic at the junction of Whytecliffe Road South and High Street, Purley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) The junction of Whytecliffe Road South and High Street, Purley, will be closed to vehicular traffic.

    b) The footway adjacent to the flank wall of No. 2 High Street, Purley, on the corner of High Street, Purley and Whytecliffe Road South will be closed.

  3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below:

  • Pedestrians will be diverted into the closed carriageway to complete crossing via the central road island.

  • Via Whytecliffe Road South, Purley Road, and High Street.

  1. The Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 30 July 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  2. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle being used in the said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or for the purposes of statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Beckett Avenue and Foyle Road, Kenley.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place the entire lengths of Beckett Avenue and Foyle Road will be closed on the dates below:

  • Beckett Road – from 11 August 2025 to 01 September 2025

  • Foyle Road – from 11 August 2025 to 05 September 2025

  1. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below.

  • Beckett Road closure: via Beckett Avenue, Cullesden Road, Firs Road, and Park Road.

  • Foyle Road closure: via Beckett Avenue, Cullesden Road, Firs Road, Park Road, and vice versa.

  1. The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  2. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) A vehicle being used in said work.

    (b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of statutory undertaker in an emergency such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

    (c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

  3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
