PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.15) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 21 July 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
The general effect of the Orders will be:
a) To introduce “at any time” double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
b) To reduce the number of parking spaces available in the length of street specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.
c) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.
Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 28 July 2025, and of all associated Orders can be inspected from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the “Access Croydon” Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.
Alternatively, copies of the Orders can be requested via email or post from the Parking Design Team. Email: parking.design@croydon.gov.uk, Postal address: Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA.
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE 1
(Introducing double yellow line waiting restrictions “at any time”)
Albert Road, South Norwood
The west side, for 5 metres either side of its junction with Oakley Road.
Bensham Lane, Thornton Heath
Both sides, replacing the existing single yellow lines at the junction with Brigstock Road with double yellow lines.
Booth Road, Croydon
The south-west side, from its junction with Bourne Street south-eastwards for 5 metres.
Bourne Street, Croydon
• The north-west side, from its junction with Lower Church Street/Booth Road to a point 1 metre south-west of the north-eastern end of the permit/payment bay on the south-east side of Bourne Street.
• The south-east side, from its junction with Lower Church Street/Booth Road to the existing permit/payment parking bays in Bourne Street.
Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath
The north-west side, amending the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines in the inset parking bay outside Thornton Heath Station.
Bute Road, Croydon
Both sides, from its junction with Euston Road north-eastwards for 5 metres.
Coulsdon Road, Caterham
The south-west side, from a point 7 metres south-east to a point 13 metres south-east of its junction with Fox Lane.
Euston Road, Croydon
The north-east side, for 5 metres either side of its junction with Bute Road,
Fox Lane, Caterham
Both sides, from its junction with Coulsdon Road south-westwards for 25 metres.
Frimley Close, Croydon
The south-east side, from a point 10 metres north-east to a point 6 metres south-west of its junction with Frimley Crescent.
Frimley Crescent, Caterham
• The north-east side, from its junction with Frimley Close south-eastwards for 39 metres.
• The south-west side, from its junction with Frimley Close south-eastwards for 32 metres.
• The access road to garages between Nos. 37 to 59 Frimley Close and No. 2 Frimley Crescent – both sides from its junction with Frimley Crescent eastwards for 25 metres.
Longheath Gardens, Croydon
• The south-west side, between the north-western extremity of the public highway and the common boundary of Nos.64 and 65 Longheath Gardens.
• The north-east side, between the north-western extremity of the public highway and a point 5 metres south-east of that extremity.
Lower Church Street, Croydon
The south-west side, from its junction with Bourne Street north-westwards for 5 metres.
Malcolm Road, Coulsdon
The north side, amending the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines outside the Waitrose car park and service vehicles entrance.
Northbrook Road, Croydon
The north and north-west side, extending the existing double yellow lines on the bend opposite No. 1 Northbrook Road by 3 metres at their eastern end.
Oakley Road, South Norwood
Both sides, from its junction with Albert Road south-westwards for 7 metres.
Parsons Mead, Croydon
The south-west side, amending the existing single yellow line to double yellow lines outside Nos. 3 and 5 Parsons Mead.
St. Saviour’s Road, Croydon
The north-west side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Queens Road by 5.5 metres south-westwards, replacing one permit/payment parking space.
Sundale Avenue, South Croydon
The south-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Old Farleigh Road by 3 metres north-eastwards.
SCHEDULE 2
(Reducing permit/payment parking spaces)
St. Saviour’s Road, Croydon
The north-west side, removing one 5-metre length permit/payment bay adjacent to the junction with Queens Road and replacing it with double yellow lines.

Cedar Walk, Kenley
Both sides, from its junction with Abbots Lane north-westwards for 7 metres.
Cheston Avenue, Croydon
Both sides, from its junction with Wickham Road north-eastwards for 10 metres.
Downsview Gardens, Upper Norwood
The north-west side, between the existing double yellow lines at its junction with Biggin Way to the south-western boundary of No. 21 Biggin Way, replacing two existing partial footway bays.
Green Lane Gardens, Thornton Heath
Both sides, from its junction with Northwood Road to a point 0.8 metres north-west of the south-eastern (front) wall of No. 51 Northwood Road.
Jesmond Road, Croydon
The west side, from a point 5 metres north of its junction with Kemerton Road to a point 6 metres south of that junction.
Kemerton Road, Croydon
Shortening the existing restrictions at its junction with Jesmond Road to 7 metres in length, on both sides of the road.
Little Roke Avenue, Kenley
• The north-east side, extending the existing double yellow lines at the cul-de-sac end of Little Roke Avenue by 7 metres south-eastwards .
• The north-east side, from a point 1.5 metres north-west of the south-eastern flank wall of No. 24 Little Roke Avenue south-eastwards for 8.5 metres.
Northwood Road, Thornton Heath
• The north side, from the common boundary of Nos. 53 and 55 to the eastern end of the inset parking bay outside No. 51 Northwood Road.
• The south side, from a point 6 metres east of its junction with Bensham Grove to a point 7 metres west of that junction.
Parfour Drive, Kenley
Both sides, from its junction with Abbots Lane south-eastwards for 7 metres.
Sandpits Road, Croydon
The south-east side, for 7 metres either side of its junction with Birkdale Gardens.
The Glade, Croydon
The east side, extending the existing restrictions at the junction with Fairford Avenue by 4 metres at their southern end (outside No. 16 The Glade).
Wickham Road, Croydon
The north side, either side of its junction with Cheston Avenue for 10 metres.
Wilmot Road, Purley
• The east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 2 Wilmot Road to the north-eastern extent of the public highway (boundary marked by a cobbled surface).
• The west side, from a point 2 metres north of the northern boundary of Meldon, Wilmot Road, to the north-eastern extent of the public highway (boundary marked by a cobbled surface).
SCHEDULE 2
(Removing partial footway parking spaces)
Downsview Gardens, Upper Norwood
The north-west side, removing two partial footway parking bays sited between its junction with Biggin Way and the south-western boundary of No. 21 Biggin Way.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 21 July 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
The general effect of the Orders will be to:
a) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.
Braemar Avenue, South Croydon
Outside No. 45
Bynes Road, South Croydon
Outside No. 91 and partially across the frontage of No. 93
b) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
