The Harlow District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. 8) Order 2025
NOTICE OF MAKING
NOTICE is hereby given that on 18?? August 2025 The District Council of Harlow (“the Council”) in accordance with section 39(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and under arrangements made with the said County Council pursuant to S.101 Local Government Act 1972 and the Local Authorities (Arrangements for the Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act
HEREBY made the above Order under:
(a) the powers conferred by sections 1(1), 2(2), 3, 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45(1), 45(2), 46(1), 46(2), 49, 53, 124 of the 1984 Act and of all other enabling powers in accordance with Part IV to Schedule 9 of the 1984 Act; and
(b) section 74 (as modified by Statutory Instrument 2003 No. 2440) and Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (“the 2004 Act”); and
(c) in accordance with Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedures) (England & Wales) Regulations 1996.
The effect of this Order will be to amend “The Harlow District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2023” by adding new disabled parking places at Barley Croft-Pennymead Tower-Sewell Harris Close and Milwards-Harlow. The areas to be designated for Off-Street Parking are listed in Schedule 1 and identified in plans attached at Schedule 5 of the Order.
A copy of the sealed Order and associated schedules are available for inspection at Harlow District Council Civic Centre Watergardens Harlow CM20 1WG and Chelmsford County Library, Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1LH during normal office hours. Copies can be acquired on payment at photocopying charges.
The Order comes into force on 18?? August 2025, but if any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that a requirement of the Act, or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
