THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL

(BROADCROFT, KIRKINTILLOCH)

(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY OPERATION) ORDER 2025 On the 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which suspends the existing one-way operation on Broadcroft, Kirkintilloch from the extended northeast kerbline of Cowgate northeastwards to the extended southwest kerbline of David Donnelly Place detailed in Schedule 17 of “The East Dunbartonshire Council (Kirkintilloch) (Traffic Management Scheme) Order 2017” for the duration of the Temporary Order. This will allow two way operation of Broadcroft, Kirkintilloch, for the duration of the Temporary Order, controlled by way of banksmen/event traffic management operatives.

This Order will operate from 01.00 hours on Friday, 15 August 2025 until  06.00 hours on Monday, 18 August 2025.

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

On the 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in event activities and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed sections of road) on the lengths of roads detailed in the Schedule below, for reasons of public safety and convenience.

This Order will be in operation from 01.00 hours on Friday, 15 August 2025 until 06.00 hours on Monday, 18 August 2025.

Available alternative routes will be signposted.

SCHEDULE

1.  Cowgate and West High Street, Kirkintilloch between their respective junctions with Catherine Street and Kerr Street, Kirkintilloch and with Achill Place, Kirkintilloch.

   The alternative routes for vehicles are by way of Catherine Street, Cowgate,

  Townhead, Parliament Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, the A803 Glasgow Road, and West High Street, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.

2.  Union Street, Kirkintilloch between its junction with Cowgate, Kirkintilloch and its junction with York Place, Kirkintilloch.

    The alternative routes will be sign posted by way of Kerr Street, Oxford Street, Union Street and Washington Road, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.

3.  David Donnelly Place, Kirkintilloch from its junction with Cowgate north-eastwards for a distance of 30 metres or thereby.. There are no suitable alternative routes available.

4.  Broadcroft, Kirkintilloch between its junction with Cowgate, Kirkintilloch and its junction with David Donnelly Place, Kirkintilloch. There are no suitable alternative routes available.

THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL

(THE MAIN STREET, TORRANCE)

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING AND NO LOADING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 On Tuesday, 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, with the exception of school buses, to wait or load or unload in the length of road specified in the Schedule by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, as school buses will be dropping off school pupils due to the temporary decant of pupils from Milngavie Primary School to Torrance Primary School.

The Order will come into force on Thursday 14 August 2025 until Friday 12 February 2027 and will be effective between 08.30 hours and 09.30 hours and between 14.30 hours and 15.30 hours, Monday to Friday, for the duration of the Order.

THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (UNNAMED FOOTPATH ADJACENT TO

FREELAND PLACE AND LUGGIEBANK ROAD, KIRKINTILLOCH)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO. 3) ORDER 2025

On 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to exercise or cause or permit to be exercised a pedestrian right of passage on that section of the unnamed footpath adjacent to Freeland Place and Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch from the point where the said unnamed footpath meets Freeland Place and Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch northeastwards for a distance of 55 metres or thereby to the existing underpass beneath the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Kirkintilloch, which runs adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Monday, 11 August 2025 until  18.00 hours on Sunday, 21 September 2025.

Alternative Routes

The alternative routes will be by way of the existing footpath network within

Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, and existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.

THE PROPOSED EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BISHOPBRIGGS) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20XX East Dunbartonshire Council, in accordance with their powers under s84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, propose to consider the introduction of a 20-mph speed limit on the entire length or part of the length of those roads in Bishopbriggs, listed in Schedule 1 below.
