What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U6192 Lymden Lane, Stonegate) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure Lymden Lane – from the junction with C214 Bardown Road to the junction with B2099 High Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2099 High Street, Shovers Green – C214 Stonegate Road, Bardown Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 11 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 22 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2087 Berners Hill, Flimwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure Berners Hill – from the junction with B2087 Broom Hill to the junction with U6187 Tinkers Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2087 Broom Hill, Union Street, High Street – A21(T) – B2099 Ticehurst Road, Pashley Road – B2087 Lower Platts, Dale Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 25 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 25 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2099 Shovers Green/Ticehurst Road/Moseham Hill, Wadhurst)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure Shovers Green/Ticehurst Road/Moseham Hill – from the junction with U6193 Wards Lane to the junction with U7548 Brinkers Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2099 Lower High Street, High Street – B2100 Sparrows Green Road, Cousley Wood Road, The Slade – B2169(KCC) – A21(T) – B2087 High Street, Union Street, Broom Hill, Dale Hill, Lower Platts – B2099 High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 28 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 28 July and 5 August 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
