Blackpool Borough, First Avenue and Severn Road - Traffic Restrictions.
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(FIRST AVENUE AND SEVERN ROAD) (ONE WAY) MOVEMENT ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 53 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to introduce the following restrictions as specified below:-
RESTRICTIONS TO BE INTRODUCED
1.One way north bound directional travel on First Avenue between Arnold Avenue and Broadway
2.One way west bound directional travel on Severn Road between Lytham
Road and Trent Road
3.Prohibition of entry on First Avenue with its junction with Broadway
4.Prohibition of entry on Severn Road with its junction with Trent Road A copy of the proposed Order, plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected by scanning the QR code below or at Customer First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF. Please telephone 01253 477477 to make an appointment to view the documents.
Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Order must be made quoting the title of this Order before 9:00 am on 20 August 2025 by one of the following methods:
1. in writing stating the grounds for any objection and should be sent to either Head of Transportation Highways, Blackpool Council, PO Box 4, Blackpool, FY1 1NA; or
2. by scanning the QR code below using your phone camera or a QR code application, and then following the onscreen instructions and clicking Submit Feedback in the Active Consultations tab
