What is happening?

DERBY CITY COUNCIL

(Wilmorton & London Road Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No. 152) Order 2024 (Wilmorton & London Road Area) (Moving Vehicle Restrictions) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No. 71) Order 2024

Derby City Council has made these Traffic Regulation Orders on 24th July 2025, which come into effect on 28th July 2025 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III if schedule 9 to the 1984 Act.

The purpose of the Orders will be to introduce: Revocation of Permit Holders Only (At Any Time) 
• Dickinson Street 
• Deadman’s Lane 
• Clifford Street 
• Selborne Street 
• Beverley Street 
• Warwick Street 
• Taylor Street 
• Archer Street 
• Gloster Street 
• Bowmer Road 
• Eton Street 
• Ellesmere Avenue 
• Rugby Street

Revocation of Limited Waiting (2 Hours No Return within 1 Hour) (Mon-Sat 8am - 6pm) (Permit Holder Exemption) 
• London Road from property 617 to 649 
• London Road from property 657 to 701 
• London Road from property 728 to 766 
• London Road from property 773 to 797

Prohibition of Driving of Motor Vehicles Except for Access 
• Dickinson Street 
• Clifford Street 
• Selborne Street 
• Beverley Street 
• Warwick Street 
• Taylor Street 
• Archer Street 
• Gloster Street 
• Bowmer Road 
• Eton Street 
• Ellesmere Avenue

The proposed restriction for London Road has been abandoned from the order:- 
Revocation of Permit Holders Only (At Any Time) 
• London Road from property 843 to 855

Copies of the Orders and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Orders on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the Acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the Orders, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
