Hertfordshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHITELEY HILL, BARKWAY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Whiteley Hill, Barkway from its junction with B1039 Royston Road south eastwards and southwards to its junction with the joint, a distance of approximately 3627m (‘the Road’), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1039 Royston Road, B1368 (Barley Road/London Road/Cambridge Road) and Royston Road.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions on said road shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs placed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ANSTEY ROAD, ANSTEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Anstey Road, Anstey from a point 340m south east of its junction with Lincoln Hill south eastwards to its junction with Anstey Public Footpath No.006, a distance of approximately 115m (‘the Road’).

An alternative route will be via Anstey Road, C11 (unnamed road, Mill Lane, C10 (unnamed road) and Anstey Lane.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions on said road shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs placed on or near the Road.
