LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 23

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20

SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to install Pedestrian Zebra Crossing including its associated zig zag road markings at the following location as follows:

  • Marsh Lane NW7 – Outside and opposite Nos.29 to 39 Marsh Lane.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to deter obstruction, improve traffic flow, improve sightlines and road safety etc., the Orders provide that waiting restrictions will be made at the following locations to be implemented on both sides of Marsh Lane NW7 and Croft Close NW7 and also outside No.48 Marsh Lane NW7.

FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to introduce speed cushions as follows:

A copy of the proposed Order, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 28 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 3rd Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Further information on the proposals may be obtained by visiting the Barnet Traffweb website at www.barnettraffweb.co.uk or telephoning the Design Team on 020 8359 3555.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Order should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting the reference number SCR661 (HLIP02 13 SC100 R2) Marsh Lane NW7 to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk within 28 days of the date of this Notice.
