Church Lane, North Clifton And South Clifton - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Carriageway Patching Works

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CHURCH LANE, NORTH CLIFTON AND SOUTH CLIFTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (N25-225)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at North Clifton and South Clifton in the District of Newark and Sherwood.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. Church Lane, North Clifton - For its entire length.

b. Church Lane, South Clifton - For its entire length.

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 09:30 hours until 14:30 hours only
Church Lane, North Clifton - From Wednesday 30th July until Monday 4th August 2025
Church Lane, South Clifton - From Tuesday 5th August until Monday 11th August 2025

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Church Lane - Mill Lane - Gainsborough Road - Vicarage Road - Front Street - Church Lane and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 30th July 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway patching works;
