What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20

THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20

SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of local safety scheme in the Wentworth Road NW11 and Templars Avenue NW11 area to help improve sightlines and improve road safety in the vicinity at certain junctions, the general effect of the above Orders would be to:

a) upgrade existing lengths of waiting restrictions operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday to operate ‘at any time’ at the junction of Ravenscroft Avenue and Templars Avenue NW11.

b) convert part of the resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday approximately 5 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Templars Avenue NW11 (Side of Nos.1 Ravenscroft Avenue).

c) convert part of the resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday approximately 7.6 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Ravenscroft Avenue NW11 (Side of Nos.21 Templars Avenue).

d) upgrade an existing length of waiting restriction operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday to operate ‘at any time’ outside No.53 Wentworth Road NW11.

e) convert part of the resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday approximately 5.5 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Ravenscroft Avenue (Side of Nos.57 Wentworth Road).

f) convert the resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday approximately 7.5 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Wentworth Road NW11 (Side of Nos.21 Ravenscroft Avenue).

g) convert part of the resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday approximately 7 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Wentworth Road NW11 (Side of Nos.34 Ravenscroft Avenue).

h) convert part of the resident permit holder only parking bay operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday approximately 7 metres in length into waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ on Wentworth Road NW11 (Side of Nos.32 Ravenscroft Avenue).

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to introduce speed cushions and raised tables as follows:

A copy of the proposed Order, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 28 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 3rd Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, quoting reference number Wentworth Road RSE020 (SCR657) to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to highwayscorrespondence@barnet.gov.uk within 28 days of the date of this Notice.
