Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 25 July 2024, Surrey County Council made the above- mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Rod Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: (a) Farnham Lane (D134) Haslemere as extends from the access for the property known as “Thursley Hall” in a northwards direction to the end of the lane; and (b) Old Farnham Lane (D5320) Farnham as extends from its junction with Great Austins (C122) to access for the property known as “Fox Warren”.
Alternative Route – (a) there is no alternative route for this closure; and (b) Old Farnham Lane, A287 (Firgrove Hill) and Old Farnham Lane.
This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole testing, cabling works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2025. The works on Farnham Lane will commence on 10 August 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works on Old Farnham Lane will commence on 17 August 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
St Georges Road (C121) Badshot Lea
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 30 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of St Georges Road (C121) Badshot Lea as extends from its junction with (D5540) Skylark Place to its junction with (X11271) Carpenters Way. Alternative Route:
(1) St Georges Road, (B3208) Badshot Lea Road, (B3208) Monkton Lane, (B3208) Water Lane, (A325) Water Lane Roundabout, (A325) Farnborough Road, (A31) Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, (A31) Runfold Diversion, and St Georges Road; (2) St Georges Road, Guildford Road, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A31) Shepherd and Flock Roundabout, (A325) Farnborough Road, (A325) Water Lane Roundabout, (B3208) Water Lane, (B3208) Monkton Lane, (B3208) Badshot Lea Road, and St Georges Road. This Order is required to facilitate electrical connection works for, or on behalf of Connect It Utilities Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists
Hale House Lane (D127) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hale House Lane (D127) Churt as extends from its junction with (A287) Crossways to its junction with (X127) The Meadows. Alternative Route: Hale House Lane, Green Cross Lane, Green Lane, (A287) Churt Road, and (A287) Crossways, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate underground structural works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Public Bridleway 25 (Frensham)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 25 (Frensham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made on the grounds of public safety due to animal activity under the path. The Order came into operation on 13th February 2025. It was due to expire on 13th August 2025 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 13 August 2027 or until the path has been made safe, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all horse and cycle traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Bridleway 25 (Frensham) between Woodhill Lane, Grid ref: 483024 141826, and Summer Hill Lane.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route is as follows from the southern end of the closure at Grid ref: 483024 141826: proceed north- east along Woodhill Lane and then turn north-west along Summerhill Lane. This route is the opposite in reverse.
