FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to reduce the level of cut through traffic using side roads to avoid main roads and junction congestion, to help improve road safety, and to:
a) Introduce a point of no entry on Pollard Road N20, at a point 25 metres east of the junction with Oakleigh Road North N20, which would prohibit motorists from entering Oakleigh Road North from Pollard Road.
The prohibition referred to in section 1 above will not apply in relation to anything done:
(a) by pedal cycles (not being motor vehicles) which follow the route through the road or part indicated by traffic signs;
(b) with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
(c) in accordance with traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;
(d) by any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency.
In order to effectively manage traffic flow and improve road safety, the general effect of the Prescribed Route Order would also be to construct the following traffic calming systems as follows:
(a) on Pollard Road N20, so motorists travelling on Pollard Road will only be able to travel in an east to west direction with the exception of the area from Oakleigh Road North and a point 25 metres that does not intersect with Oakleigh Road North.
FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Barnet in exercise of powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers have raised tables as follows:
