Long Walk (Fulling Mill Lane), Itchen Valley, Winchester - Temporary Road Closure to allow plant movements
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 & S.15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Long Walk (Fulling Mill Lane) between a point approximately 430 Metres North-West of its junction with Easton Lane and the roads termination.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A
DURATION OF ORDER: from 25th August 2025 for a period of 29 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required until 31st December 2027, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for VFBB to allow for site plant movements from the field east of the M3 to the field west of the M3 and vice versa, which allows works to be stopped immediately to accommodate the public.
