What is happening?

TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES AT B4287 CIMLA ROAD/AFAN VALLEY ROAD - CIMLA CRESCENT JUNCTION, MINI ROUNDABOUT AND PINE GROVE JUNCTION
NOTICE is hereby given that the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in pursuance of its powers as contained in Section 90A of the Highway Act 1980 and the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 intends to install Traffic Calming Measures in the form of:- Raised Speed Plateaux of such dimensions and situated at such locations as set out in the schedule below.
A copy of the draft Notice, plan and statement of reasons can be inspected on the Council’s Internet Website https://www.npt.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders-tros.
Any objections should be submitted in writing, setting out the reasons thereof, to reach the Head of Engineering and Transport, The Quays, Baglan Energy Park SA11 2GG by 19th August 2025.

SCHEDULE
Schedule 1 - Traffic Calming measures in the form of Raised Speed Plateaux (75 millimetres high)
B4287 Cimla Road/Afan Valley Road
1.1 Located at the junction of Cimla Crescent & Cimla Road (to be 8.4m total length).
1.2 Located at the roundabout connecting Cimla Road, Bwlch Road & Afan Valley Road.
1.3 Located on Afan Valley Road to the West of Pine Grove junction (to be 8.4m total length).
1.4 Located at the junction of Pine Grove & Afan Valley Road (to be 8.4m total length).
For clarification this will be incorporated into an active travel route linking Neath Town Centre to Cefn Saeson Playing Fields.
