Roentgen Road, Basingstoke And Deane - Temporary Road Closure due to electricity replacement fittings

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road. 
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Roentgen Road between its junction with Loddon Business Centre and the roads termination. 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A
DURATION OF ORDER: from 11th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days, working between the hours 12:00 – 17:00 on the 11thAugust 2025 and 08:00 – 17:00 on the 12th August 2025. It is also expected that the road closure will be required again on the 13th September 2025 for a period of 2 days).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to carry out replacement of fittings.
