What is happening?
ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL
U3B - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U3B - 29.07.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 29.07.25 for 14 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the U3B as follows:
ROLLING ROAD CLOSURE
Section 1 U3B at Upper Cabra Farm to Cemetery
Section 2 Gaval Cottage to Mill of Gaval
Section 3 Cairnochies to Drinnies House
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety during duct works. Alternative routes are available via Section 1 - U3B, C2B, A950, C5B, C4B and visa versa. Section 2 - U3B, C4B, Gaval Street, Fetterangus, Ferguson Street, C4B and visa versa Section 3 - No through road.
