Burcott Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Devegatation Works
What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U80328, Burcott Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80328, Burcott Road, Hereford, at the old railway bridge site. Grid Ref: 350917/241199.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Mortimer Rd onto Newtown Rd onto Farriers Way onto Burcott Rd and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to masonry repair and de-vegetation works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 nights (21.00 - 6.00 hrs).
