(THTTC3789 BULL’S HILL, WELLOW, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Bull’s Hill, Wellow, Bath from a point outside Glebe Cottage extending east for approximately 70 metres. USRN: 47918943.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to carry out a sewer repair & install manhole on the 28th July 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for TWELVE DAYS.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to install a Toucan crossing and associated carriageway resurfacing on the 28th July 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. • A no left-hand turn restriction will be introduced on A4 Upper Bristol Road at its junction with Park Lane.

• A no left-hand turn restriction will be introduced on Audley Park Road, Tennyson Road and Coronation Road at its junction with Park Lane. Traffic will only be able to turn right onto Park Lane and exit via A4 Upper Bristol Road.

• A no right-hand turn restriction will be introduced on A4 Upper Bristol Road at its junction with Park Lane.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to excavate trench: approx. 25m in carriageway & 404m in footway – joint, backfill & reinstate for new electric supply connection for former Gas Works development from the 28th July 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for SIX WEEKS.
