Mathon, Temporary Road Closure Due To Remedial Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1177 From B4220 To C116S, Mathon, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1177 From B4220 To C1165, Mathon, between Merrow House and Merrowfields. Grid Ref: 372889/245151.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4220 onto the C1165 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to remedial works works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
