Hamnish, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Testing Works

What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1055, Hamnish, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1055, Hamnish, near Widgeon Hill. Grid Ref: 352250/258993.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A49 onto the A44 onto the C1055 and vice versa. The said closure is required due to pole testing and tree cutting works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th of August 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day (9.30am -3.30pm).
