Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Broad Street, Monks Horton, TN25 6DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broad Street, Monks Horton, on or after 7th August 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Broad Street Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broad Street, Fiddling Lane, Scots Lane, Whiteways, Church Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Field, Stanford, TN25 6UA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Field, Stanford, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 6, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Hill, Hawkinge (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Hill, Hawkinge, on or after 4th August 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed under and either side of the A20 bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Alkham Valley Road, Standen Lane, Pudding Lane, Old Hawkinge, Flegis Court Lane, Church Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Rolfe Lane, New Romney, TN28 8HL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rolfe Lane, New Romney, on or after 18th August 2025 for up to 29 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Ashford Road for approximately 100m, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rolfe Lane, Cockreed Lane, Ashford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sandling Road, Sandling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandling Road, Sandling, on or after 18th August 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sandacre, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Road, The Green, Brockhill Road, Bartholomew Lane, North Road, Barrack Hill, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Stanford Intersection, B2068 Stanford Intersection and A20 Ashford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Seaview Road, Greatstone, TN28 8RQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Seaview Road, Greatstone, on or after 5th August 2025 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 32, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Stone Hill & Plain Road, Sellindge, TN25 6HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Hill & Plain Road, Sellindge, on or after 6th August 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.
Stone Hill will be closed from the junction of Plain Road to outside the entrance to Kennels, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Plain Road will be closed between the junctions of Lilyvale and Stone Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Plain Road, Woolpack Hill, Church Road, A20 Hythe Road, A20 Main Road, Stone Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The Close, Saltwood, CT21 4QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Close, Saltwood, on or after 5th August 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ottinge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
