Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Hobb Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hobb Ln from its jct. with Chester Rd to the borough boundary with Halton. The Order will be effective from 11th August 2025. The closure is for a period of 1 day. The alternative route will be via Chester Rd, Runcorn Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Openreach to install a new customer service.

Newlands Rd, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Newlands Rd from its jct. with Hunts Ln to its jct. with Hill Top Rd. The Order will be effective from 11th August 2025. The closure is for a period of 3 days. The alternative route will be via Hunts Ln, Hill Top Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new customer connection.

Redpoll Ln, Birchwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Redpoll Ln from its southwest jct. with Dunnock Gr for 50m in a north westerly direction. The Order will be effective from 18th August 2025. The closure is for a period of 2 days. The alternative route will be via Dunnock Gr. The closure is required to allow Openreach to install a new customer connection.

Various Footpaths in Woolston (Footpath Closures) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is to introduce a footpath closure on: Lincoln Cl Segregated Footpath to Manchester Rd; Hertford Cl Segregated Footpath Gable of 19; Hertford Cl Segregated Footpath Gable of 35; Hickory Cl Segregated Footpath Gable of 8; Lawson Cl Segregated Footpath Gable of 16; Woolston Footpath 29. The Order will be effective from 11th August 2025. The closures are for a period of 5 weeks. Alternative routes will be signed on site. The closures are required to allow Scottish Power to carry out a cable upgrade.

Various Rd's in Westbrook (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is to introduce the following: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: North Park Brook Rd from the jct. with Callands Rd to the jct. with Corwen Cl; St. David’s Dr from the jct. with North Park Brook Rd to the jct. with Monkswood Cl; Tenby Cl for its entire length; Callands Rd from the jct. with Cromwell Ave (west) to the jct. with Barmouth Cl. The Order will be effective from 1st September 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 6 weeks, between 8:30am & 5:30pm. The alternative routes will be as follows: North Park Brook Rd via St. David’s Drive, Callands Rd & vice versa; St. David’s Dr via North Park Brook Rd, Callands Rd & vice versa; Callands Rd via Cromwell Ave & vice versa. The restrictions are required for road/footway surfacing.

Various Roads & Footpaths (40 MPH Speed Limit & Footpath Closures) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is to introduce the following: 40 MPH Speed Limit Restriction: A56 Chester Rd from its jct. with Runcorn Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton;
Footpath Closures – PROW: Hatton Footpath No.1 from its jct. with Warrington Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Walton Footpath No.3 from its jct. with Chester Rd to the Borough Boundary with Halton. Walton Footpath No.3A from Hatton Footpath No.3 to the Borough Boundary with Halton. The Order will be effective from Thursday 31st July 2025. The restriction is for a period of 5 weeks. An alternative route will be signed on site. The closures are required to facilitate construction works associated with Creamfields Event 2025.

Winmarleigh St & Arpley St (Various Restrictions) Temporary Order 2025
The effect of which is as follows: Prohibition of Driving: Winmarleigh St (Item 1) at the Crossroads with Palmyra Sq South & Hanover St; Winmarleigh St (Item 2) from its jct. with Sankey St to its jct. with Wilson Patten St, including Museum St crossroads;
Clearway: Arpley St passageway rear of 23 to 43 (Item 3) for its entire length;
One Way: To prohibit any Motor Vehicle from proceeding on Arpley St passageway rear of 23 to 43 (Item 3), in any direction other than from Thynne St to Museum St. The Order will be effective from 25th August 2025. The restrictions will be carried out between 9:30am & 3:30pm & possibly 7pm & 1am in phases as follows: Prohibition of Driving (Item 1): from 25th August 2025 for 1 week; Prohibition of Driving (Item 2) & Clearway/One Way (Item 3): from 1st October 2025 for 3.5 weeks. The alternative routes will be via Wilson Patten St, Liverpool Rd, Sankey Way Roundabout, Liverpool Rd & Sankey St or via Thynne St, rear of 23-43 Arpley St (temp. one-way), Arpley St & White St. The restrictions are required for the construction of raised traffic calming tables & resurfacing works.

Farnworth Rd, Penketh (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 6th March 2025. The effect of which was to introduce a prohibition of driving on Farnworth Rd (northwest direction) from its jct. with Widnes Rd for a distance of approx. 80m in a north easterly direction. The Order was effective from 12th March 2025 with the restriction in place for 10 weeks & then a further 8 weeks, however, due to changes on site those in use are now required to remain in place until 19th August 2025. In the access, alternative route & reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised.

Skyline Dr, Burtonwood (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 3rd July 2025. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Skyline Dr from its jct. with Burtonwood Rd to its jct. with Fairchild Rd. The Order will be effective from 25th July 2025. Based on current circumstances, the closure will be in place from 12th September 2025 for 3 consecutive nights between 7pm & 7am & on 22nd September 2025. The access, alternative route & reason for the works remain the same as previously advertised.

Various Rd's (Various Restrictions) (BSIP Phase 1) Temporary Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 10th April 2025. The effects of which were confirmed on 10th April 2025, however, the following phases of works need to be extended & will remain in place until 2nd September 2025: Prohibition of Movement: Prohibit the left turn movement for vehicles travelling westbound on Long Ln wishing to gain access to Winwick Rd; Prohibition of Driving: Long Ln between its jct. with Fisher Ave & its jct. with Winwick Rd. The access, alternative route & reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised.

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
