Welton Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Carriageway Maintenance Works
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC WELTON ROAD, BROUGH (PART)/ELLOUGHTON ROAD, BROUGH (PART)/ SKILLINGS LANE, BROUGH (PART)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Welton Road, Brough (between War Memorial Crossroads and Morrisons Entrance). Elloughton Road, Brough (War Memorial crossroads).
Skillings Lane, Brough (War Memorial crossroads) on Sundays only on 10,17 and 31 August 2025 (between 16.30 hours and 00.00 hours) to enable carriageway maintenance works to be carried out.
The road closures are necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 August 2025.
The alternative route for traffc affected by the road closures will be via:
For Welton Road, Brough closure - for the north is east on Welton Road then north to the new roundabout and Welton Low Road, for west on Welton Low Road, Stockbridge Road and south on Cave Road and vice versa. For the south of the village east on Welton Road then south on Moor Road then south and west on Baffn Way/ Saltsground Road and vice versa.
For Elloughton Road closure - North on Elloughton Road/Main Road then west on Stockbridge Road, south on Cave Road and east on Welton Road and vice versa or east on Welton Low Road and South through the new roundabout.
For Skillings Lane closure - South on Skillings Lane then west and north on Saltsground Road and Station Road and vice versa or east and north on Baffn Way then Moor Road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure.
