Ducie Street, Piccadilly Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic Roadway For Removal Of Site Tower Crane

 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC144570425: The City of Manchester (Ducie Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ducie Street 10m before the right hand turn into Pigeon St Aquaduct St (Maintaining access into Diecast). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Great Ancoats Street, Laystall Street, Old Mill Street, Store Street, Jutland Street, Ducie Street, Peak Street, Pigeon Street, Whittle’s Croft, Aquaduct Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate mobile crane to be erected in roadway for removal of site Tower Crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 9th August 2025 to 10th August 2025 between the hours of 06:00 and 16:00. The order shall come into operation on 9th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 28th July 2025. 

ORDER NO. MCC144560545: The City of Manchester (Moseley Road, Fallowfield Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Moseley Roa. The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Birchfields Road, Moseley Road, Old Hall Lane, Wilmslow Road vice versa (2) Balmoral Road, Braemar Road, Lindleywood Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate loop cutting works. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 10th August 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 10th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
