Gloucestershire, Temporary Road Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C375 BRADLEY STREET (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN AND CIVIL PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C375 Bradley Street Road from outside the driveway of the property known as No.11A Bradley Street to outside of the property known as No.4 Bradley Street for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of the National Grid.

The said road is expected to be closed from 11th August 2025 to 22nd August 2025 or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C284 ROAD FROM WORTLEY ROAD TO ALDERLEY, WUE (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C284 Road from Wortley Road to Alderley, Wue from its junction with Hill Mill Lane to outside the property known as ‘Zero’ for a distance of approximately 115 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs on 17th August 2025 or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for highway signing and lining works.

There will be no waiting, stopping or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times (nights only between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00), on a rolling programme commencing 11th August 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 15th August 2025.
