What is happening?

​THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (CHAPEL LANE, HAGG LANE AND MAIN STREET, EPPERSTONE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 (3363)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Epperstone in the District of Newark and Sherwood: -

Proposed prohibition of Waiting At Any Time along the following length of road:

Chapel Lane, Epperstone (both sides)
- From its junction with Main Street in a northerly direction for 10 metres.

Hagg Lane, Epperstone (north-west side)
- From its junction with Main Street in a north-easterly direction for 12 metres.

Hagg Lane, Epperstone (south-east side)
- From its junction with Main Street in a north-easterly direction for 14 metres.

Main Street, Epperstone (north side)
- From a point 10 metres east of its junction with Chapel Lane in a westerly direction to a point 10 metres west of that junction.

Main Street, Epperstone (north-east side)- From a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Hagg Lane in a north-westerly direction to a point 12 metres north-west of that junction.

Main Street, Epperstone (south-west side)
- From a point opposite a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Hagg Lane in a north-westerly direction to a point opposite a point 12 metres north-west of that junction.

The proposals are being introduced to deal with inconsiderate and obstructive parking at these junctions and to help larger vehicles safely exit the junctions.
