TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC143903709: The City of Manchester (Charles Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Charles Street one-way from Princess Street to Sackville Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Princess Street, Whitworth Street, Sackville Street & Proncess Street, Mancunian Way Slip, Sackville Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate adjacent demolition. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 11th August 2025 to 16th January 2026. The Order shall come into operation on 11th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
