Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford, Cutteslowe Sunnymead Park – Footpath Closure

Date of Order: 21 July 2025

Coming into force: 28 July 2025

This Order is being introduced for public safety during the Balloons and Tunes Festival event on 2nd and 3rd August. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No.320/54 which runs across the event field northwards from the allotments. The footpath will be closed from 28 July until 5 August to enable the event to be set up and removed afterwards. The alternative route will be signed around the perimeter of the field.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and the event organisers. Appropriate signage will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the event has concluded, whichever is the sooner.

This footpath closure has been approved by the Council’s Countryside Access Team: Country.Side@Oxfordshire.gov.uk
