ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC144284002: The City of Manchester (Millgate Lane, Didsbury East Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Millgate Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Kingston Road, Millgate Lane vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the installation of new Openreach overhead cable pole. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 30th July 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. The order shall come into operation on the 30th July 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
