What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 23
PROPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING UPGRADE A459 CASTLE HILL DUDLEY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above named council, in exercise of their powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 propose to upgrade the following pelican crossing facility at the locations listed below:
Provide a new 4.0m wide puffin crossing on A459 Castle Hill, Dudley, 110m north east from its junction with Birmingham Street.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 65 and 66
ESTABLISHMENT OF SHARED USE FOOTWAY AND CYCLE TRACK

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the above named council, in exercise of their powers under Sections 65 (1), 65 (2) and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers hereby propose to introduce shared use footway / cycle tracks on sections of FLOOD STREET, THE MINORIES, OAKEYWELL STREET, TRINDLE ROAD, PORTERS FIELD, BIRMINGHAM STREET, CASTLE HILL,
STATION DRIVE, KING STREET, HALL STREET.

Any representations regarding the provision of this pedestrian facility should be submitted to the Traffic Manager – Traffic Engineering, Economy & Infrastructure Directorate, Dudley MBC, Lister Road Depot, Dudley, West Midlands, DY2 8JW stating
the grounds on which they are made and should be received by no later than 25/08/2025.
