Dudley - Various Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Orders,
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Beacon Rise, Sedgley) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Beacon Rise, Sedgley, for the purpose of a new connection to sewer pipes being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 11.08.2025 and will remain in force until 22.08.2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Beacon Rise, Greenway, Cross Lane, Beacon Lane, and vice versa.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Castle Street, Sedgley) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Castle Street, Sedgley, for the purpose of the installation of a new gas supply being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into
operation on 09.08.2025 and will remain in force until 17.08.2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Bilston Street, High Street, Bull Road, High Street, Brick Street.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of New Street & Castle Street, Dudley) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on New Street and Castle Street, Dudley, for the purpose of carriageway patching work being carried out on or near the affected road. The order
will come into operation on 11/08/2025 and will remain in force until 17/08/2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Tower Street, The Broadway, and Castle Hill.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary One-Way Restriction) (High Street, Lye) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in an eastbound direction on High Street, Lye, for the purpose of gas mains replacement being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 11.08.2025 and will remain in force until 01.09.2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Westbound traffic will be diverted via: Netherton Lane, Maypole Hill, and Cradley Forge; OR Forge Lane and High Street; OR Thorns Road and Dudley Road.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.
