(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

On Thursday 10th July 2025, Argyll and Bute Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, being satisfied that traffic on the length of road specified in the Schedules hereto should be prohibited or restricted for the purpose of facilitating the holding of the Ashton 70th Anniversary event in Helensburgh, no person shall drive or cause to or permit to be driven any vehicle through the sections of road on the dates and at the times as indicated in the schedule below.

Schedule – Prohibition of Traffic Saturday 2nd August 2025

from 10:00 hours to 22:00 hours

West Princes Street, Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh from its junction with Sinclair Street to its junction with James Street.

The restrictions imposed by this Order, which are desirable because of considerations of public safety and convenience during the event, will be in operation when indicated by signs. Exceptions will apply to any vehicle which is being driven upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or an event steward; an emergency services vehicle; or an authorised vehicle associated with the organisation of the event. Alternative routes will be signed in an appropriate manner.
