(Speed Limits) (City Wide) Order 2025 –
Amendment Order No.4 2025: A660 Leeds Road Otley
– Revised Intention Notice
FURTHER TO THE INTENTION NOTICE PUBLICISED ON 22 MAY 2025, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, (acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) has revised its original proposals and now intends to make the above Order, the overall effect of which will be to introduce 1. A 30MPH Speed Limit on A660 Leeds Road, Otley; from a point 539m NW of its junction with Old Pool Bank; in a southeasterly direction to a point 180m NW of its junction with Pool Bank New Road. 2. A 40MPH Speed Limit on A660 Leeds Road, Otley; from a point 180m NW of its junction with Pool Bank New Road; in a SE direction to a point 50m nw north west of its junction with Church Hill. 3. A 50MPH Speed Limit on A660 Leeds Road, Otley; from a point 539ms NW of its junction with Old Pool Bank, in a north-westerly direction, to a point 600m SE of the inscribed circle of Rotary Way/Leeds Road. Intention Notice – 20, 30, 40 & 50 Mph Speed Limits
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, (acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 81, 84, 85, 87, 89, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Order, the overall effect of which will be to introduce: 1. A 20MPH Speed Limit on an additional section of Pinfold Lane, Methley 2. A 30MPH Speed Limit on Church Side, Leeds Road and Methley Lane. 3. A 40MPH Speed Limit on Newmarket Lane and Water Gate. 4. A 50MPH Speed Limit on Park Lane, Barnsdale Road A639, Pinfold Lane, Green Lane, Boat Lane and Lower Mickletown. Shepherds Lane & Adjoining Roads Leeds
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority (and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Orders, the effect of which will be to 1. Prohibit Waiting at any Time on: a. Sections of Shepherds Lane, Leeds; and b. Sections of Back Hill Top Avenue, Bank Side Street, Cross Alcester Road, Hill Top Avenue, Hill Top Mount, Vicars Road and Vicars Terrace; at their junctions with Shepherds Lane. 2. Introduce a One-Way restriction on Shepherds Lane in an easterly direction; between Its junctions with Markham Avenue and Roundhay Road. Details of the proposals including plans showing the affected lengths of highway and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for the Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below.
