Station Road (C10) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 18 July 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (C10) Egham as it extends from its junction of School Lane (D3170) to its junction with Band Lane (X10).

Alternative Route – Station Road, Manorcrofts Road, Stroude Lane, B3376 (New Wickham Lane), B388 (Vicarage Road) and B3407 (High Street and Church Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to facilitate a water connection and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 4 August 2025 for 1 week, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services to properties within the closure, as well as for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

C31 Brook Road, Wormley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C31 Brook Road, Wormley that extends from its junction with Station Lane, to its junction with Bridewell Close.

This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to gain access to existing telegraph poles for testing and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 August 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route:- A283 Petworth Road, A286 Haslemere

Road and Brook Road. D3154 St Pauls Road, Staines Upon Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3154 St Pauls Road, Staines Upon Thames that extends from its junction with D3155 Wapshott Road, to its junction with D3156 Cornwall Way.

This Traffic Order is required to enable ULC to carry out telecoms mast decommission and/or cabling and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route:- Cornwall Way, Bowes Road and Wapshott Road.

D3895 Green Lane, Hersham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3895 Green Lane, Hersham that extends from its junction with D3898 Brampton Gardens, to its junction with D3898 Queens Road.

This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks to carry out installation of underground service cables and/ or maintenance works in Green Lane, Hersham between its junction with D3898 Brampton Gardens, and the north-western property boundary of “No.35 Green Lane”.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times via a temporary walkway. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Green Lane, Queens Road, Brampton Gardens and Green Lane.

B2133 Loxwood Road and D179 Rosemary Lane, Alfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:

 1. B2133 Loxwood Road, Alfold that extends from the county boundary of Surrey County Council with West Sussex County Council, to its junction with the access for road for “Broadacres”.

Alternative route:- B2133 Loxwood Road, B2133 Guildford Road, Spy Lane, Loxwood Road, A281 Guildford Road, A281 Horsham Road, B2133 Loxwood Road.

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 2. D179 Rosemary Lane, Alfold that extends from its junction with B2133 Loxwood Road, to X179 Rosemary Lane.

There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out construction and installation of highway improvements, including:- buildouts, road markings, signing and lining and/or surfacing and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 4pm within 4 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 August 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Littleton Road (C233) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the south-westbound carriageway of Littleton Road (C233) Ashford as extends from its junction with (A308) Staines Road West to its junction with (D6259) Rowland Way.

Alternative Route – A308 Staines Road West (Eastbound); Sunbury Cross Roundabout; A308 Staines Road West (Westbound); Ashford Road; and Littleton Road.

This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 04 August 2025 is required to facilitate mains gas replacement and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Cadent Gas within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 7 days between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Oaken Lane (D6827) Claygate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Oaken Lane (D6827) Claygate as extends from its junction with (D6821) Manor Road South to its junction with (D6830) Cavendish Drive.

Alternative Route – Oaken Lane; Littleworth Road; A309 Kingston-By-Pass; A307 Portsmouth Road/ High Street; A244 Claremont Lane; Milbourne Lane; Hare Lane; and Oaken Lane.

This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 31 July 2025 is required to facilitate flow meter installation works and/or mains water utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Thames Water within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three days between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Hambledon Road (C31) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hambledon Road (C31) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D699) Feathercombe Lane to its junction with (D168) Church Lane.

Alternative Route: Rock Hill, Malthouse Lane, Lane End, (A283) Petworth Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, (A286) Church Road, Station Lane, and Hambledon Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole testing and tree cutting works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, via the marshals on site.

Tilthams Corner Road (D203) Godalming Shalford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilthams Corner Road (D203) Godalming Shalford as extends from its junction with (D202) Unstead Lane and for a distance of 40 metres in a westerly direction.

Alternative Route: Trunley Heath Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A248) Broadford Road, (A3100) Old Portsmouth Road, and Tilthams Corner Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate removal and replacement of the parapet panel along the carriageway for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 August 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.

No sole access is affected by this closure.

Kingpost Parade (D4012) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kingpost Parade (D4012) Guildford as extends from its junction with London Road (A3100) to its junction with Barton Place (D4012).

Alternative Route – A3100 (London Road).

This Order is required to enable Nexus Utilties Ltd to facilitate a new EV charger connection and associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 August 2025 for 4 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

Church Road (D6283) Shepperton
Temporary One-Way Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D6283) Shepperton as extends from its junction with the northern pedestrian access to the “Manor Park Pay and Display” Carpark to its junction at the roundabout with (B375) Renfree Way, (B376) High Street, and (B375) Russell Road in any direction other than north-eastwards.

Alternative Route – Renfree Way: Chertsey Road: and Church Road.

This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 04 August 2025 is required to facilitate mains gas replacement and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as
possible over two weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary one-way system, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

The above restrictions shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police. 

Access for the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents, will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Guildown Road (D4016) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Guildown Road (D4016) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4016) Beech Lane to its junction with (X4016) Guildown Road Access to 10 and 12.

There is no applicable alternative route.

This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 11 August 2025 is required to facilitate mains wastewater connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Thames Water within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over five days between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

All other traffic including residents will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Plaistow Road (C33) Dunsfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Plaistow Road (C33) Dunsfold as extends from its junction with (D161) Fisher Lane to its junction with the county boundary line between Surrey County Council and West Sussex County Council.

Alternative Route: Dunsfold Road, Shillinglee Road, (A283) Cripplecrutch Hill, (A283) Petworth Road, The Green, Pickhurst Road, High Street Green, Chiddingfold Road, and Plaistow Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate tree and vegetation management works for, or on behalf of SSEN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 August 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

No sole access will be affected by this closure.

D6851 Sandy Lane, Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6851 Sandy Lane, Cobham which extends from its junction with Miles Lane to its junction with Copsem Lane.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 August 2025. It is anticipated that the road closure will be in force 24 hours per day.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Alternative Route – A244 Warren Lane, D6861 Steels Lane, D6864 Blundel Lane, A245 Stoke Road, C157 Fairmile Lane and D6858 Miles Lane.

D3010 Alwyns Lane, Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3010 Alwyns Lane, Chertsey from its junction with Windsor Street westwards to the western property boundary line of No.45 Grove Road.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway resurfacing works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 August 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Alternative Route – B375 Windsor Street, B375 St Anns Road and D3011 Grove Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 18 July 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath 13 (Ockham) from grid ref: 507801 157365 heading West to grid ref: 507283 157474 and from point grid ref: 507269 157501 heading West to grid ref: 506453 157506 and Public Footpath 15 (Ockham) from grid ref: 507435 157850 heading South to grid ref: 507470 157314 and Public Bridleway 544 (Ockham) from grid ref: 507221 157681 heading South to grid ref: 507311 157367.

The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to works being undertaken on or near the highway.

The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 18 July 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf.

Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route for traffic for Public Footpath 13 (Ockham) from grid ref: 507801, 157365 will be to head West on Public Footpath 13A (Ockham) for 329 metres, then crossover Public Footpath 15 (Ockham) and continue West on Public Footpath 13A (Ockham) for 150 metres to Public Byway 544 (Ockham). Head North for 34 metres then rejoin Public Footpath 13A (Ockham) and head West for 1,086 metres to grid ref: 506453 157506.

The alternative route for traffic for Public Footpath 15 (Ockham) from grid ref: 507435 157850 will be to head South for 79 metres, the head North for 137 metres. Then head generally East for 137 metres to Public Bridleway 16 (Ockham). Head south for 343 metres then head West for 331 metres to grid ref: 507470 157314.

The alternative route for traffic for Public Bridleway 544 (Ockham) from grid ref 507221 157681 will be to head North East for 255 metres, then south for 79 metres, the head North for 137 metres. Then head generally East for 137 metres to Public Bridleway 16 (Ockham). Head south for 343 metres then head West for 331 metres and cross over Public Bridleway 544 (Ockham). Continue generally South West for 120 metres to Public Footpath 13A (Ockham). Then head East for 84 metres to grid ref: 507311 157367.

The Public Footpaths 13 and 15 (Ockham) and Public Bridleway 544 (Ockham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
