Troutbeck Bridge, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5054, TROUTBECK BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C5054, Troutbeck Bridge, from its junction with Patterdale Road (A592), extending in a predominantly north easterly then south easterly direction to its junction with Longmire Road.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the C5054, Moorhowe Road, Mislet Brow, A591, Kendal Road, Ambleside Road and Patterdale Road (A592).

The Order will come into operation on 13th August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
