What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(WOODHEAD ROAD, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodhead Road, Holmfrth from the junction of Woodhead Road to a point approximately outside property no.1 Field End Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Field End Lane, Bank Top Lane, Fieldhead Lane, Woodhead Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 13 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 18 August 2025 17:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CEMETERY ROAD, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cemetery Road, Holmfrth from streetlamp no. 3 to streetlamp no. 4 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cemetery Road, Cartworth Road, Cartworth Bank Road, Lamma Well Road, Gill Lane, Hill House Road, Brow Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 11 August 08:00 and remain in force until 16 August 2025 17:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HOLT LANE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Holt Lane, Holmfrth from a point approximately from the Telecoms tower to a point approximately outside property no. 31 Holt Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion. Residents access only.

All works to stop when residents need access/egress.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday 9 August 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 17 August 2025 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ST JOHN’S AVENUE, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St John’s Avenue, Kirkheaton from a point approximately outside property no. 17 St Johns Avenue to a point approximately outside property no. 19 St Johns Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via St John’s Avenue, New Road, Fields Rise, St John’s Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 13 August 2025 and remain in force until 15 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

MOORSIDE ROAD, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Moorside Road, Kirkheaton from its junction with Moor Top Road to its junction with Town Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Moor Top Road, Heaton Moor Road

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 28 July 2025 and remain in force until 29 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LONGLANDS ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Longlands Road, Slaithwaite from its junction with Hawthorn Road to a point approximately outside property no.4 Longlands Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Longlands Road, Longroyd Crescent, Longlands Avenue, Hawthorn Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 28 July 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(REED STREET, MARSH, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Reed Street, Marsh from a point approximately outside property no. 51 Reed Street to a point outside property no. 61 Reed Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Jim Lane, Broomfeld Road, Westbourne Road, Reed Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 29 July 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HIGH STREET, SCAPEGOAT HILL, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of High Street, Scapegoat Hill from its junction with Slaithwaite Gate, to a point opposite property no. 122 High Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via High Street, School Road, School Lane, Halifax Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 29 July 2025 19:00 and remain in force until 30 July 2025 05:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HUDDERSFIELD ROAD, MELTHAM, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Huddersfeld Road, Meltham, from a point approximately outside property no. 25 Huddersfeld Road to its junction with Carlisle Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Huddersfeld Road, Meltham Road, Lockwood Road, Folly Hall, St Thomas’ Road, Manchester Road, Blackmoorfoot Road, Varley Road, Chain Road, Slaithwaite Road, Station Street, Huddersfeld Road and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 30 July 2025 and remain in force between the hours of 19:00 to 23:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LUKE LANE, THONGSBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Luke Lane, Thongsbridge, from its junction with New Mill Lane to its junction with Springwood road/ Miry Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Miry Lane, Woodhead Road, Station Road, New Mill Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 30 July 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 03 August 2025 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(ELLERSLIE COURT, EDGERTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Ellerslie Court, Edgerton, from approximately 20 metres from its junction with Queens Road to end PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

No diversion as dead end, Access will be maintained for residents.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 29 July 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 4 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
