Broughton Street, Middleton Street, Abbey Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving Provide A New Connection
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BROUGHTON STREET, MIDDLETON STREET, ABBEY ROAD, BEESTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (BX25-114)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Beeston in the Borough of Broxtowe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads:
a. Broughton Street, Beeston - From its junction with Wollaton Road in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 50 metres
b. Middleton Street, Beeston - From its junction with Wollaton Road in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 50 metres
c. Abbey Road, Beeston - From its junction with Wollaton Road in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 50 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday 4th August 2025
Until 18:00 hours on Friday 15th August 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. As signed on site
The Order will come into force on Monday 4th August 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
