(Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.33) Order 202x
Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 proposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4 (1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45,46,49 and 53 and Parts II and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the Order:
To introduce a Permit Holders parking area Between Four Gables and Pytchley Cottage, The Street Takeley.
To amend the Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 to allow the properties detailed in Column 3 of the table in Schedule 5 to this proposed Order to be issued with permits for the proposed zones listed in Column 1 of that table.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL545 210 revision 1 replaced by revision 2 introducing tile TL545 212.

(Byway 3, Saffron Walden) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Byway 3, Saffron Walden, in the District of Uttlesford, for its entire length from Butlers Lane, north to its junction with Byway 47, approximately 1650 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 28 July 2025 to 28 October 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage and surfacing works are undertaken.
Alternative route: Byway 47, B1052, The Slade, Little Walden Road, Andom Road, Butler's Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(B1383 London Road and Spring Hill, Littlebury) (Special Event) (Temporary 30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the orders: To temporarily introduce a 30MPH speed limit on B1383 London Road, Littlebury and Spring Hill, Littlebury in the District of Uttlesford (B1383 London Road is currently 50MPH and Spring Hill is currently 50MPH)
Road | Description
B1383 London Road, Littlebury | From a point approximately 140 metres south of Spring Hill, north for approximately 600 metres.
Spring Hill, Littlebury | From B1383 London Road, east for approximately 65 metres.
The existing 50MPH speed limit on the above length of Spring Hill and existing 50MPH on the above length of B1383 London Road as detailed in 'The Essex County Council (Various roads, various parishes, Uttlesford) (Restricted Road, 40MPH & 50MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018’ are hereby temporarily suspended for the duration of the event. All other restrictions will still be in force.
The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence on 31 July 2025 to 03 August 2025 between 10:00 and 23:59, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and are required for the safety of the public while concerts take place at Audley End. Once the event has been completed the roads will revert back to the existing speed limits.
The Order will come into effect on 31 July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months unless extended by the Secretary of State or until the event has been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Radwinter Road & Kates Lane, Ashdon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Radwinter Road, Ashdon in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 50m south of its junction with Kates Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in southerly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Kates Lane, Ashdon in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 200m east then north east from south east of its junction with Radwinter Road for a distance of approximately 200m in a south easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 21st August 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WG8GXK75FB & BC008WG8GXK75FB01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Radwinter Road, Ashdon Road, B1053, Elizabeth Way, Ashdon Road, Walden Road, Church Hill, Radwinter Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 31st July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Park Lane, Saffron Walden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Lane, Saffron Walden in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 20m east of its junction with Princes Close in a distance of approximately 75m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX041402716163 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public while pipe repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
No alternative route is available.
The Order came into effect on 17th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sampford Hall Lane, Little Sampford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sampford Hall Lane, Little Sampford in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 90m north west of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th August 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04140275754 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Sampford Hall Lane, Hall Road, B1053, B1051, Sampford Hall Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
