What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.21) Order 202

Notice is hereby given* that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order:

  1. To Implement: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions

RoadDescription
Lancaster AvenueWESTERN AND SOUTHERN SIDE:
i) From a point approximately 7 metres south of its junction with Limebrook Way, South and east to its junction with Tempest Road.
ii) From its junction with Tempest Road to a point approximately 34 metres east of its junction with Sunderland Avenue.
Tempest RoadEASTERN AND NORTHERN SIDE: From a point approximately 7 metres south of its junction with Limebrook Way, south and east to a point approximately 20 metres east of its junction with Brewster Court.
BOTH SIDES: From its junction with Lancaster Avenue, southwest for its entire length (including the turning head to the northwest).
Brewster CourtWESTERN AND NORTHERN SIDE: From its junction with Lancaster Avenue, north and east (including the turning head to the east), to a point approximately 34 metres north of its junction with Lancaster Avenue.
EASTERN SIDE: From its junction with Lancaster Avenue, North for approximately 13.5 metres.
Sunderland AvenueEASTERN SIDE: From its junction with Lancaster Avenue, South for approximately 15 metres.
WESTERN SIDE:
i) From its junction with Lancaster Avenue, south for approximately 61.5 metres.
ii) From a point approximately 76.5 metres south of its junction with Lancaster Avenue, south for approximately 3.5 metres.
iii) From a point approximately 99 metres south of its junction with Lancaster Avenue, south for approximately 17.2 metres.
iv) From a point approximately 20 metres south of its junction with Mosquito Way.
v) From a point approximately 40 metres south of its junction with Mosquito Way, south for approximately 45 metres.
Mosquito WayBOTH SIDES: From its junction with Sunderland Avenue, west for approximately 10 metres.

Sunderland AvenueEASTERN SIDE: From a point approximately 30 metres south of the junction with Lancaster Avenue, south to a point approximately 59 metres south of the junction with Boulton Road.
Seafire StreetBOTH SIDES: From its junction with Sunderland Avenue, East for approximately 10 metres.
Boulton RoadBOTH SIDES: From its junction with Sunderland Avenue, East for approximately 10 metres.
 

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by introducing map tile: TL840 052 and TL840 050 Revision 0.

(Orchard Road, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Orchard Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 60m north west of its junction with Granger Avenue for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2025 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013239411A – Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Orchard Road, St Peters Avenue, Granger Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 31st July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Penny Royal Road, Danbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Penny Royal Road, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Bicknacre Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th August 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M14842A – Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Penny Royal Road, Bicknacre Road and vice versa. (with access only to Penny Royal Road).

The Order will come into effect on 31st July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Leighams Road, Bicknacre) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Leighams Road, Bicknacre in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 490m south west of its junction with Main Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th August 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30003869862 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Leighams Road, Lodge Road, Main Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 17th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
