DEFINITIVE MAP REVIEW OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY PARISH OF BUCKLAND BREWER INFORMAL CONSULTATION SCHEDULE — PART 2

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of public rights of way under continuous review, and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, re-graded or deleted.

The Definitive Map Review of Public Rights of Way is currently being undertaken in the Parish of Buckland Brewer. Your views and any relevant evidence are being re-sought on the following proposals for modifying the definitive Map for Buckland Brewer:-

Proposal 1: Schedule 14 application: Proposed upgrade of Bridleway No. 20 along Old Downs Lane to byway.

The Definitive Map is the legal record of public rights of way.

There are four categories:- Footpath; Bridleway; Restricted byway; and Byway open to all traffic. Maps showing the existing public rights of way and any proposals to modify the Definitive Map, are available for inspection by appointment at:- 

The Clerk to Buckland Brewer Parish Council; The offices of Torridge District Council, Riverside House, Bideford; Public Rights of Way Service, Great Moor House, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter; and Online at www.devon.gov.uk/prow.
