Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025
On 14 July 2025 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, to cause or permit any vehicle to:-
No person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load at any time on that length of – Machanhill, Larkhall, south side – from a point 33 metres west of the extended west kerbline of Hillcrest View, eastwards to a point 23 metres east of the extended west kerbline of Hillcrest View, a distance of 56 metres or thereby; Machanhill, Larkhall, south side – from a point 16 metres north-west of the extended east kerbline of Islay Gardens, to a point 20 metres east of the extended east kerbline of Islay Gardens a distance of 36 metres or thereby; Islay Gardens, Larkhall, east – from the extended south kerbline of Machanhill, southwards for a distance of 11 metres or thereby; Islay Gardens, Larkhall, west – from the extended south kerbline of Machanhill, southwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby; Hillcrest View, Larkhall, east – from the extended south kerbline of Machanhill, southwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby; Hillcrest View, Larkhall, west - from the extended south kerbline of Machanhill, southwards for a distance of 20 metres or thereby.
No person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle stop, between the hours of 8.15am to 9.15am and 2.15pm to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday on that length of – Machanhill, Larkhall, north side – from a point 33 metres west of the extended west kerbline of Hillcrest View, to a point 10 metres east of the extended east kerbline of Islay Gardens, a distance of 97 metres or thereby; Machanhill, Larkhall, south side – from a point 33 metres west of the extended west kerbline of Hillcrest View, to a point 20 metres east of the extended east kerbline of Islay Gardens, a distance of 87 metres or thereby.
This Order has been made because of the likelihood of danger to the public, i.e. for reasons of road safety.
The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on 11 August 2025 and will remain in operation until 2400 hours on 11 February 2027 or until a permanent Order is in place, if earlier.
