Oakdale Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Telecoms Installation Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(OAKDALE ROAD, CARLTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (G25-108)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Carlton in the Borough or Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Oakdale Road, Carlton - From its junction with Cliff Road in a south westerly direction for 50 metres.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Oakdale Road, Carlton - From its junction with Cliff Road in a south westerly direction for 50 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
Temporary Road Closure
From 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours Wednesday 27th August 2025
No Waiting, Loading or Unloading (both sides) (at all times)
From 08:00 hours Monday 28th July until 18:00 hours Friday 8th August 2025
From 08:00 hours Wednesday 27th August until 18:00 hours Thursday 4th September 2025
From 08:00 hours Monday 20th October until 18:00 hours Tuesday 28th October 2025
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Oakdale Road, Carlton - Douglas Avenue, Carlton - Greenwood Road, Bakersfield - Greenwood Road, Nottingham - Langdale Road, Nottingham - Ashdale Road, Nottingham - Oakdale Road, Nottingham - Oakdale Road, Carlton and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 28th July 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Clarke Telecom to carry out telecoms installation works.
