What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council,

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Wheatlands Lane, Cross Hills, Order 2025, No. 261 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Wheatlands Lane, Cross Hills for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 28/07/25 & 22/08/25, due to Northern Gas Networks works to replace the gas main. However, the max duration of this Order is until 02/11/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Tod Holes Lane, Wigglesworth, Order 2025, No. 281 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Tod Holes Lane, Wigglesworth in the vicinity of Tod Holes Bridge for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 11/08/25 & 03/11/25, due to bridge repairs. However, the max duration of this Order is until 10/02/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. All enquiries to North Yorkshire Council Bridges team please contact our Customer Service Centre 0300 131 2 131 or see https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend "North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Craven) Consolidation Order 2013' by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:- Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking at all Times With Exemptions Burnsall, Main Street, West side from Southern boundary of Home Barn to 45m North East to the entrance of Croft Cottage. Skipton@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 14/08/25. 20 Mph Zones, Various Roads, Embsay & Eastby, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 mph on any length of road specified in Part 1 & Part 2 of the Schedule below:- Schedule - Part 1 - Roads In The Village of Embsay - 20 Mph Zones Pastures Road, from its junction with Elm Tree Square in a Westerly direction for 595 metres. Main Street, for its entirety. Kirk Lane, from its junction with Main Street and Low Lane in a Northerly direction for 65 metres. Low Lane, from a point 82.5 metres South of its junction with Shires Lane in a Northerly direction to its junction with Main Street and Kirk Lane. Shires Lane, for its entirety. Elm Tree Square, for its entirety. East Lane, for its entirety. Dalacres Drive, for its entirety. Dalacres Crescent, for its entirety. West Lane, for its entirety. Skipton Road, from its junction with East Lane in a South-Westerly direction for 78 metres. Part 2 - Roads In The Village of Eastby - 20 Mph Zones Kirk Lane, from its junction with Heugh Farm and Barden Road in a Westerly direction for 221 metres. Barden Road, from its junction with Heugh Farm and Kirk Lane in a Easterly direction for 561 metres. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Embsay with Eastby Community Library, The Institute, Main Street, Embsay with Eastby, Skipton BD23 6RE during normal office hours from 24/07/25 until 14/08/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders.
