Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council intends to enter into an Option Agreement for the grant of an Easement over a length of approximately 33m of land within the Strawberry Line at Yanel Farm, Churchill for the laying of cables in connection with a proposed solar farm on adjoining land.
The Strawberry Line is used for public recreation. Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Birkett Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, temporary prohibition of waiting and loading Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 29 July 2025
Ref: Entrance to Birnbeck Pier off Birkett Road
Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council for safe delivery of plant and materials for restoration works to Birnbeck Pier. This order will become operative on the 29 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 18 months in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Ewart Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 4 August 2025

Will be to enact the following:
(1) To close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists, the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
(2) To temporarily suspend the existing No Entry traffic restriction to vehicles and cyclists, the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2 of this Notice.
This order is required to conduct carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works and will become operative on 4 August 2025, anticipated to be for 5 days. The working hours will be 8am to 5pm.
The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months; however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
Schedule 1 – Ewart Road for full extents.
Schedule 2 – Ewart Road at its junction with Locking Road.
Alternative routes – Ewart Road – Milton Road, Baytree Road, and Locking Road.
Footpaths Crediton, Feniton and Tamar Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 8 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to Replace 188.18m of old metallic gas mains with plastic mains, 11 service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 19 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to carry out multiple decayed pole changes – erect new poles and overhead reconductoring. This order will become operative on the 15 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming Into Force: 6 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to carry out a Section 81 replacement. This order will become operative on the 6 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration, between 9.30 and 3.30pm each day. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd for annual S&T testing. This order will become operative on the 4 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 8 hours in duration between 10pm to 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Temporary No Waiting or Loading Restriction Order 2025

Will be to close and restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to use a crane to replace a substation. This order will become operative on the 11 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be a closure of Beaumont Close for 7 hours in duration between 9am and 4pm and the No Waiting or Loading restrictions anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs or cones will be displayed when the measures are in force.
