Bradford, Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrian Traffic Due To Safety Risks On Bridge
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL FOOTPATH NO. 506, BAILDON, SALTAIRE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is satisfied pedestrians on or near Footpath No. 506, Baildon, Saltaire should be restricted or prohibited because of the likelihood of danger to the public intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Footpath No. 506, Baildon, Saltaire from either end of the bridge over the River Aire.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to pedestrians connected with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
No alternative routes for pedestrian traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 4th August 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 15th August 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to six months if necessary).
