Bradford, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Construction Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL LOWER KIPPING LANE/ALDERSCHOLES LANE, THORNTON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of construction works to be executed on or near Lower Kipping Lane/Alderscholes Lane, Thornton has made the abovenamed Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Lower Kipping Lane/Alderscholes Lane from its junction with Thornton Road to its junction with John Street.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order are available via Alderscholes Lane (unaffected section), Squirrel Lane, Cragg Lane, Brighouse and Denholme Road, Thornton Road and vice versa.
The Order comes into operation at 08:00 hours on the 30th July 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 1stAugust 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
