Wilford Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(WILFORD LANE, WEST BRIDGFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (R25-151)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Wilford Lane, West Bridgford - From its junction with Little Bounds to its junction with Bede Ling.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Wilford Lane, West Bridgford - From its junction with Little Bounds to its junction with Bede Ling.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00 hours until 06:00 hours only.
From Monday 28th July until Friday 1st August 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. A60 - A52 - Clifton Lane and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 28th July 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works;
