TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – OFF-STREET PARKING AT DANEBURY HILLFORT CAR PARK OFF OLD STOCKBRIDGE ROAD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 33, 35(1), 47, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Act, as amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") and the Road Traffic Regulation (Parking) Act 1986, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to implement Pay & Display parking at the off-street parking location at Danebury Hillfort Car Park adjacent to Old Stockbridge Road at Danebury, subject to the following schedule:

This is a re-advertisement of a scheme which was advertised Friday 18th April 2025 and appended an objection period which concluded on Friday 16th May 2025. This is the same scheme save for the following changes:

(i) The Charging Period has changed from 8am - 6pm and is now 8am - 8pm

(ii) There has been an addition of an annual parking pass for £40.20

(iii) The total size of the parking area has been increased, allowing for future expansion of the parking area

(iv) A ban on overnight parking on site to deter antisocial behaviour

(i) Test Valley Borough Council, Andover Offices, Beech Hurst, Weyhill Road, Andover, SP10 3AJ (Opening hours: Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00; Friday: 08:30 – 16:30)

(ii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 - 5:15; Fridays 8.30 - 4.45)

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk, quoting reference: A2102/MJB, by Friday 15th August 2025. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The Order if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Old Stockbridge Road, Danebury Hillfort Car Park) (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2025".
