Deanshut Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving & Prohibition of Waiting

THE OLDHAM - DEANSHUT ROAD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER & PEPPERCORN AVENUE & HILL FARM CLOSE PROHIBITION OF WAITING ORDER 2025

The Oldham Borough Council on 18th July 2025 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from proceeding along that part of Deanshut Road (including its northerly footway) between Fir Tree Avenue and Peppercorn Avenue. Prohibition of driving from 21/7/25 to 3/9/25.

Alternative route- Southwest bound traffic: Peppercorn Avenue and Hill Farm Close

Northeast bound traffic: Fir tree Avenue, Hill Farm Close and Peppercorn Avenue

Pedestrians: to use the opposite, southerly footway closest to the school

The Order also prohibits waiting at all times on Peppercorn Avenue (both sides) - from Deanshut Road northerly for 86 metres and on Hill Farm Close (both sides) - from Peppercorn Avenue westerly for 71 metres. Prohibition of waiting to last for 18 months from 25/7/25.

The Order is to be made to allow drainage works in connection with nearby development and will be in force for a maximum period of 18 months from 25th July 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
